An introduction to the labor of love that is 2018 B.C.

Iain & Craig had been working together on each others musical projects consistently for the last few years, Iain would contribute instrumentation to Craig's solo pieces and likewise Craig would do the same for Iain. Eventually producing Iain's more recent work (Back To Life - EP & Another Life - LP). It was from this that the idea of a collaborative effort emerged.

It was during the writing of an upcoming EP for 2018 B.C. that Iain began working on a chord progression Craig had sent to him, this progression evolved into "Clarion Crows". Something that both Iain and Craig felt would be a better standalone release than as part of the EP project. In the writing process Iain realized that to continue the challenging ways of writing they had committed to doing he would leave half of the lyrics empty for Craig to write a counter point to:

The 2nd song on this release came from Craig working on pushing the envelope further in how he wrote. He had yet to write a song that oozed an 80's sentiment so one day after listening to a bunch of classic 80's tunes he sat down and began this piece. Originally the sound was part of a bigger evolving project that was given the working title "Throwback Thursday" as it was a multiple genre piece that evolved into each other. Craig realized this was going nowhere but really liked how it began and so created a full song from it. This was sent to Iain for completion of lyrics and a restructuring, then the final piece was born.

Both these songs sound nothing like the forthcoming, and as yet untitled, EP of songs they are working on currently.
